Philip Rickard Awarded Hawaii Jeweler of the Year

Honolulu, Hawaii, October 25th, 2008 The Hawaii Jewelers Association, Bruce Bucky of Hildgund Jewelry, President, has awarded Philip Rickard, of Philip Rickard Honolulu, as its Hawaii Jeweler of the Year.The Jeweler of the Year Award was presented at the Hawaii Jewelers Association Fall Banquet Saturday October 25th, at the New Otani Kaimana Beach Hotel. In presenting the award Michael Parker, of Michael's Fine Jewelry noted Philip's work this last year to uplift the image of the Hawaii Jewelers Association, his book on history of the Hawaiian Heirloom Jewelry, and efforts to grow his companies image and its representation of the Hawaiian Jewelry to the public.Philip Rickard is a past President of the Hawaii Jewelers Association in 2006 and 2007 and is a career jeweler manufacturing Hawaiian Heirloom Jewelry in Honolulu since 1986. Philip Rickard Honolulu has seven stores on Oahu, exclusively selling Hawaiian Heirloom Jewelry. Philip Rickard's book Hawaiian Heirloom Jewelry; "A Lasting Remembrance" details the history of the Hawaiian jewelry since its inception in the 1860's.
